    Do you commemorate or not?

if you didnt remind me i wouldnt have remembered... i kid you not.. my mind is so far away today.. but i am sure that at my job it will be commemorated.. i might jus be extra careful tomorrow.. anniversaries can attract dubious folks..
Never waste your time trying to explain who you are to people who are committed to misunderstanding you.

Most definitely. I remember exactly what I was doing on that day. It's also my younger brother's birthday

I always remember, not necessarily commemorate in the formal sense. It's not something I can ever forget. Nor can i forget all that happened as a result.

My neighbor died in Pentagon. My aunt was inside when the plane hit. Numerous people in my life served in Afghanistan (& Iraq), including my husband. I can't erase the faces of hurt and pain on "both sides" as a result. There are no real winners in war.

Yes, I do not leave my house before 10:28, the time tower one collapsed. I will never forget that day.

I don't commemorate the day that my lungs took more abuse that all my years of living combined hasn't inflicted. That was a terrifying experience being so close and then seing outside be so dark that you couldn't see your own hand 2 inces from your face.

No one should have to "get over" any tragedy, especially if they lost a loved one. Some of you need to develop a real worldview that emphasizes the value of all humanity.
