What financial software do you use if any..???

I'll be honest... i'm more interested in the Mac apps.. but a friend wanted to know about others besides Quicken, MsMoney etc..for pc.. so all info is welcomed..

For Mac, I've heard about CHa-CHing, iMoney and Moneywell... plus Free Personal Finance Software, Budget Software, Online Money Management and Budget Planner | Mint.com but don't know anybody who actually uses any of these things.. they all look decent to me..

which one has a clean easy to use interface and is good at giving an at-a-glance review of your accounts..

    quicken.

easiest interface out of all of them and has lots of good tools for more advanced users.

it depends on what you want to use it for and how.

if its just simple tracking of income and expenses then MsMoney is fine.

But Quicken handles an investment portfolio and other types of liabilities better. And its budgeting feature is more robust.

I didnt say MsMoney doesnt do it, I am saying Quicken handles those things a better than MsMoney.

I havent test drove any of the Mac software but hopefully some one else has.

When was the last time you used Quicken? Only asking becasue after 2009 they re-vamped their platform so it is quite different than the previous versions. You should be able to download trail versions of some of the software and see which u perfer as well.

i think i may personally try Moneywell.. as i have always wanted to try out that "enveloping system" which could never work for me in real life as i hardly take my money out of the bank... so i have the envelopes at home and the money in the bank.. lol.. i disliked something about Quicken. i dont know what but for software.. i generally have to like the interface.. hence why ms money was chosen over quicken and i never looked back..

lt.. i think it was being discontinued cos they no longer goin to make the financial software or something like that..

well can u test drive Moneywell and see how you like it before committing to buy? Then you can see how it works for you on a weekly basis.

if so, u should come back later and give it a rating for others. I am always interested in financial software ppl like or dont like and why.
