it's more a question of growth, can apple sustain that growth and based aound what fundamentals, better software is not sufficient if people are breaking the bank

    oil @ $80
    implies what?

    bumper profit for ExxonMobil?
the USD is getting even weaker?

what does that mean for inflation? for consumer spending?

Summer is approaching and a weakening dollar reduces supply and increases demand for oil so, oil prices are likely to keep rising. The value of US oil imports might increase because of this and add to the trade deficit, weakening the dollar more. A weak USD would likely lead to inflation, the large spending by the Obama administration makes inflation in even more likely. American consumers cannot deal with higher prices now as the country is recovering from the recession, so IMO sconsumer spending would fall.

I think itís a good idea to be bullish on XOM as long as oil price remain at $80/barrel. But I am a bit worried about how the slow down in travel because of the volcanic ash would affect their earning. What do you think?

less airlines but shipping, and driving still continues. I believe it will be a drop in the bucket.

    Lightbulb

Oil Prices being high is good for Trinidad so it may be a good time to invest in T&T.

Put some money in the Unit Trust and buy some land if you can.
