    Zouk/Kompas PEOPLE!

Help me out here... I need some more of this music and don't know one fart about it. Basically I want names of the best of the best artists... If you have the time you can post songs. Even a website/blog would be nice. Enough to throw down a set for lovers of this genre... mostly Haitians. Thanks

I have the usual ones they play:
Carimi- Are you ready... yea yea...
    Kassav- zouk la se
And i got this African song by Danco- do sale

Ti sourit, ti sourit se nan pèlen ou rete
Rat ki rat se nan pèlen ou rete
Tèt zozo men pa ou, zozo kale men pa ou
M ap konyen fanm nan jis solèy leve
    Bwa m kale tou wouj
Kon piman , kon piman, Langyèt madivinèz
Ou pa bezwen chandèl pou ou klere l

In terms of Konpa you could never go wrong with playing T-Vice, Djakout Mizik, Zenglen, Nu Look, Sweet Micky, and Tabou Combo. Be careful though. Just because Carimi is the most popular internationally they are really for a certain crowd. You can't go wrong with Micky though.

As far as Zouk songs be careful. If its a mostly Haitian crowd don't play more Zouk than Konpa. And you gotta play the Zouk tunes that are popular among Haitians. Some include

Eric Virgal must play at a Haitian party

More popular Zouk songs among Haitians

This song must play! And make sure its the version in the video i provided and not the speed up version.

A lot of these tunes can be found on limewire very easily. You could get more songs by the artists i provided as well. If limewire didn't find them try 4shared.com - free file sharing and storage

Oh. In that case yes there are some. The problem is a lot of them will be either old or Kanaval songs. Give me a second and I'll post some

the first two songs are cursing like hell : But to be honest they were some of the most popular songs during Kanaval in Haiti the French Caribbean even at the clubs in Paris. It is typical caribbean slackness though.

Here are some more good ones
