    The combination of soca with zouk,bouyan,kompa,and rhumba does sound so sweet n nice i wish arrangers could produce a new generation of this mixture of music it would start a new craze...its like they scared to experiment.

    they have no choice lol. there's not enough room at the bals for all of that. Only Plogue/Kole Sere which would reflect the movement in the zouk video example.

    I've been saying it for the longest. And soca could use a little craze here and there, it doesn't hurt. They already have songs that reflect it:

    it's just too much IMO. There is dancing and there is putting on a show.

    Tykreyol: If people want to be in front of the stage of course they won't have room. It's not really about plogé dancé colé séré. It just seems to much in my eyes. Plus I hate dancing with people who are deep into the whole twirling, crazy hand being the heads and stepping moves. Even more when it's with someone whom I've never danced before.
