An African Dj friend showed me several of the LPs, but I didn't feel like going through the trouble of digitizing them. However, I did find a few of the 10 or more volumes on the web as downloads. The Colombians are into cadence/kompa/zouk also. Usually, its just english speaking people who are the most narrow minded.
I had no clue they had compilations released there. I would have fitgured the Guyane connection but not that. Thanks for those links. I was aware of the Colombian Panamanian and Venezuelan fascination with Creole music. Which is why most know of the hit songs from Tabou Combo and Kassav.

Never knew they had a video for the 1st song..that was sweet. Man Island life sweet loved the scenes with bossman trying show them how to cut a jelly this going in my favs when ever I need a chill pill.

La Compagnie Créole may have members from Guadalupe I'm not too sure..But the band originals hailed from Guyana or rather French Guiana . So I guess this could be a doubled answer if band members are from gwada.. still all under the French flag though. On my places to visit list. bon
