From a reliable source, I am hearing good vibes and a fun day with fashion shows on Saturday, hair show on Sunday, good food, music, performances, fun things for kids, and much more.
The event is two days with an opening ceremony today. I believe 4:30 p.m. You can even tune in and hear what it is about. Link: One Caribbean Radio ![]()

Well I could not go Saturday (crazy, hectic day).
I was there for a good while from the afternoon until closing just hanging out on Sunday. Fashion show (nice clothing) Hair & Fashion Show (some of the dresses were creative, the make up nice and the hair stylist created some interesting hairstyles) 3 Singers. One singer was Lord Kent who interacted with the crowd well and sounded good There was a steelpan group, youth, they sounded real sweet. They performed twice. I saw a Trinbago woman chipping coming and went right infront the stage. There was a cultural dance group from Tobago accompanied by male drummers. They looked lovely and danced beautifully. It was a sight to behold and here. There were dancing competitions and give aways. Mostly to the kids such as a Conway gift certificates. There was real pride and love of the Caribbean peoples and desire for positive change in the air. People were telling the One Caribbean people staff that they will definitely be back next year, want it to be a week, and wanted to know when it will be again. The food vendors did the best in sales especially the corn tent (that roasted corn was sweet!!!). Taste of the Tropics did well too. There were clothes, hat, jewelry vendors, natural products such as cakes and hair and body products (shea butter and oil blends, toothpaste, black soap) energy drinks, etc etc. I am glad some people bought from the various vendors. Turn out was nice but it will grow since many showed interest. I wish One Caribbean Radio the best and congrats on two successful days!!
