Big Foundation Tunes….. Put them up !

When these yutes walked into Clement” Coxsone “ Dodd Studio 1 back in 1979 they laid the foundation for the current Kings of The Dancehall, Kings of Raps, Kings of Toasting…..they elevated the Game and once again Coxsone had to fine tune his set to allow yutes to ride the Riddims, U- Roy, drew up the Blue prints and set it into motion and IMO, these yutes took it to new heights……..They Blaze the trail…….and once again put Jamaica front and Center on the World Wide Stage…

Papa Michigan and General Smiley……They Buss with “ Rub A Dub Stylye “……but my two favorites are :

:

When you talking about Foundation tune, The Sound of Jamaica, Big Tune, a Song and artist that defined that era, then look towards Sister Nancy, the first female battle tested DJ, ,she held it down single handedly, the younger sister of a another Field General, Brigadier Jerry, ….she did it all, the first female DJ to headline Reggae Sunsplash, the first female DJ to tour foreign….when ask why she left DJing…she stated to the Jamaican Observer :

". She explained that her absence from the recording scene was due to her wanting to "give other female artists a chance", though she said she was still "as ready as the first day [she] came into the business".[6] The Observer cited Russell-Myers a role model for a successive generation of female acts

Run the Big Tune.....
