Are We Ever Satisfied
Do you find that the more we have is the more we want? What is the reason why some of us thirst for more? It seems like the satisfaction is only temporary.
I was wondering if there is some other reason why we are never truly satisfied so here is what I came up with....(let me know your thoughts) maybe I am stretching it ah bit I believe that we all are put on this earth to serve ah purpose, but this is not our permanent home so how can we be truly satifised in a place that were were not meant to be in permanently. |

I very much agree with Ms.VSD. As the time progresses we tend to also. As we move to different levels in our lifetime, we require more to keep us going. With is why I feel we are never satisfied. Its like we are trained to feel whatever it is we have, there is always something better.

Same thing I was thinking. For example we could be in one of the most *fulfilling relationships in our lives, but in the back of our minds, we will always wonder if their is something better out there. Temptation is a bitch, but if we have mental strength we can fight it. Sometimes we need to realize the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

As time goes on I see we make our own heaven and hell. I think if we were in tuned with God and spirituality and kept on track we all might be a little happier. I know when I forget the world and get in tuned with my spirituality I am so happy, the moment I get tempted I go right back to being dissatified. I guess in a form if we are diciplined to know the difference of what I want from what I need, and what I have from those that don't maybe we could all be happier.Case in point the Amish, they don't live in the world they are not really up to the times, and everyone is equal thus they are humble people that focus on spirituality and life, same can be said about munks.
