Well anybody who's into African studies or comparative religious studies should be familiar with the 42 Confessions/Admonitions/Declarations of Innocence, etc. They predate the so-called 10 Commandments by well over 2000 years.

While the 42 Admonitions may be Egyptian, many other cultures also had similar laws. In fact the late Chancellor Williams argued that they wer a set of universal laws although in my ow opinion, given the value system and initiation training of the Greeks, such laws like do not steal or kill or deceive were not universal at all.

Be that as it may, one thing is certain, the 42 Ma'at Confessions prove that once again, the exclusivist claims of Western Xianity are bogus. I don't say this out of some smug triumphalism, but it is time we seriously examine what we think we know about the pre-Christian world and of the propaganda Xians leaders have been using and repeating to colour our minds about the past

Thank you for responding it seem like people are either not firmiliar or are too scared to respond. But yes these are pre10 commandments, in fact it's believed that the 10 Commandments were derived from the 42 confessions. I find it very interesting, even yelling was considered a sin. But once again thank you for responding.

I've posted about the 42 Ma'at Confessions before in here and I believe in another forum:

JOURNEY of the SONGHAI & MAAT/Religion:

"the weighing of the heart against Maat's feather"...

Thanks Ancient Woman. It's just so funny how people are either afriad to talk about religious things, or they don't know where to start or begin which still leads to fear if you ask me. I bet you if this thread was about who moaccoin who it would reach to 138 pages. Boi I tell you but thanks again for your response.
