none, they don't need a shakeup, Marc Stein of ESPN just felt like writing something that would get him pageviews.

Artest commented on this yesterday. Basically he isnt that comfortable..but there he definitely wants to stay here. Lakers need him..without him they wouldnt have won Game 7 against Boston.

To answer this out of that rotation I would probably wouldn't trade anyone. I would put Bynum on the bench. Its noticeable that Gasol scores more when Bynum isnt playing. Although defense is an issue.. an aggressive Gasol is needed to win alot of these games. Bynum can then be out of foul trouble and can be in the game in the 4th for offensive and defense.

well you know them celtics fans will always say nothing wrong keep it the same. but it seem them man(lakers) going the detroit route to trust in something that worked even when it appears to be failing... Attest - is too inconsistent for my liking, great defender thou Gasol - will always be a #################### i wish people would stop asking him to get tough good scorer, dont trade. Bynum - another one of those beast the wimped into a meow, i know, i know injuries who cares why.. (tough) - trade odom - wouldn't part with him, does alot of little things Fisher - worse starting point gaurd in the west possibly the league, i dno't think he has any trade value. |

Kneejerkology 101.
People were having this same exact conversation about the Celtics last season right up until the playoffs. Trade Ray Allen, shake up the bench, KG's lost it, etc etc. Then the playoffs started. |

Matter of fact I give him credit as the least homerish fan I've ever seen. Don't devalue his opinion, he always keeps it real. Hell, last week you thought he was a Knick fan ![]() |

The Lakers have been to 3 straight NBA Finals. Poor analogy. It might actually be better to compare LA to that same 2004 team if anything. (Their 4th NBA Finals in 5 years, an aging team trying to retool on the fly). |

Not sure how his 'bread' suffers by playing ball in LA. Either way he's got a contract. My point about Joe Smith was to point out how much things he has going for him on his music career. It's silly to think he doesn't value that, as many years as we've been hearing him put into it. Apparently it's paying dividends (as evidenced by the Joe Smith point). He may get frustrated from time to time, but in the clear light of day, he isn't going to readily give that up. People for years have questioned his dedication to basketball in lieu of his music career; now we're saying he's gonna hurt the music career to focus on basketball? Which is it? I think you're reacting way too much this supposed "unhappy" story -- which comes from the usual unnamed source by the way. Why give so much credence to something so spurious???? |
