Roots

so i watched roots for the first time this weekend. i watched the whooole series over the weekend. i really enjoyed it, i almost didn't want the story to end.

I've read the book a number of times and watched the series over thanksgiving (TVOne). It was very well done. I'll have to get the dvd collection for my library.

i was watching tvone last week and saw "roots: the gift". it was good so i went and rented the whole series. i thought that "the gift" was part of the series but it wasn't. i confused, where does the gifit come into the series??

Ok so did I. I have no idea how it fits with the series. I'll get them both and watch them again though.

first time i read the book took me so long i would have to pause and absorb what I was readin

and the series was very authentic to the book
