I just finished the book and want to see the movie. Was it a good movie? The book was really intense, was definitely a good read. Just wondering if the movie is the same.

movie was cool......brought back memories of flying kites back home and trying to cut other fellas kite......didnt like d scene where d kid was sexually assaulted....but it was a decent movie

thanks... will rent it tonight... it did bring back alot of childhood memories of kite flying ... i agree the sexual assault scene was difficult to read and i guess would be the same to watch...

the story itself was powerful... Hassan's death and that of his wife was really terrible beaten only by the fate of his son Sohrab... i'm looking forward to see how all this plays out on screen... again thanks for the input

Movie was decent but after reading the book you might expect more from it...As most movies that are based on books are, it wasnt as detailed. I personally prefer the book but just to satisy your curiosity you should watch it...I know how feel. I was dying to see the movie after reading the book.

Agreed. I was a little disappointed when I finally saw the movie.

haven't read the book but i saw the movie a few months ago, it was really good. emotional in many parts though. i think i'll have to pick that book up this week.
