DC Folks - What Happen to Teddy's Roti Shop?

I can't locate them. The last time I went out there in Sept/Oct., the owner told me they were moving and gave me a business card to call for the new address. The number on the card is disconnected. The old location up on Georgia Avenue has a sign for a new restaurant, but it has yet to open.

Anybody know???

yup he's right
Teddy's Roti Shop moved closer to the Silver Spring Metro station: 8407 Ramsey Ave. - 301-562-7779.
Their website hasn't been updated, but the menu is pretty much the same. www.teddysrotishop.com :: Teddy's Roti
Just Moved to Silver Spring -- any recs? - Washington DC & Baltimore Area - Chowhound (where I got it from)

I heard the lease was running out and the landlord got a rent offer he couldn't refuse and as a result they moved somewhere in Maryland initially. Sounds like biz as usual right? Except that the offer they couldn't refuse came from a woman that worked in Teddy's kitchen and got independent backing to start her own restaurant.
Teddy's moved somewhere far in MD and like they weren't getting much business so they closed again. I heard they were going to rent upstairs by their original location (in direct competition with the woman)but it seems like they settled on the accessible Silver Spring location.

Some all or none of what I said about may be true I just heard it through the grapevine.

I know where teddy's shop is NOW

I have great news Teddy's Roti Shop is now located at 7304 Georgia Ave, NW one block from the Walter Reid Army Hospital. They will be opening in three weeks that would be 12th of May 2008. You can always reach them at 202-494-1771 for more info. Now I know this because I spoke to the owner himself. Call the number I am telling you the truth.

This info is not hearsay.
