Thrifting...

Went a couple times with my sis, but didn't get lucky Then decided to go for Pres. Day, was 50% off everything. I got 2 nice pair of black leather pants, a Ralph Lauren blazer, and an LL Bean pretty purple, maybe violet colored down ski vest (found it in the little boys section). In total I spent under $14 bucks..felt like I hit the lottery!

I did my CSI inspection to ensure nothing was missing, ripped, torn, snagged, etc. Will take the stuff to the cleaners before wearing.

So does anyone else shop at thrift stores?

you all are better than me. God did not bless me with the patience to do it.
I've gone with friends before and the process of looking through racks of stuff makes me insane. But I am an impatient shopper in general.

I wish I wouldnt develop ADHD when I visit thrift stores.....

I love thrifting!
Here in NY, its gotten so popular that in some neighborhoods, I feel like the thrift stores just have left over, picked over junk.
You will rarely find those high end name brands at the thrift stores around here ...
BUT, I do enjoy thrifting and I have lovely "basics" from there like...
My trench coat, dresses galore (I alter them at the tailor to make them look more modern when they are a bit too "old timish"), belts to cinch the waist of dresses, long tops, whatever, leather bags.
I wear size 11 in shoes so I tend not to find much there for my feet but my friend who is a size 9 always lucks out! She has Tom's, Birkenstock sandals, etc that are close to brand new from the thrift store.

I love the bargains. Its worth it in my opinion. Especially if the store is well organized and the prices make sense.
I chuckled when I saw a pair of Old Navy jeans with a $20+ price tag on it and a Jones NY trench coat for $12 Brand new with tags ... Some store workers have no clue about how to price things and that can really work in your favor.

You know I never thought about that. Just exactly how do they come up with the prices; store policy at whim...what?

My mom does this and she always find great deal on quality stuff. If I do I would have to go by myself. I don't have patience to shop with others.

I tend to shop alone period because I like to take my time and really decide if I want to by something and I hate being rushed, lol.

Stocked up on spring blazers (red, coral, blue, etc) from the thrift store.
The time is now ladies! LOL.
I went on the 25% off sale day so all those $4.99 and $5.99 blazers were a steal! Yayy!
