Ladies, how did you learn to walk with shoes as high as these?


I am a comfort first type of person and I find it hard to accept that pain my feet like how I assume walking in such shoes feels like. There is a lady that give classes designed to teach women how to walk with high heels and I am thinking about signing up. But, my friend says that it's a waste of money.

so, should I just buy myself some killer heels and risk braking my ankle or should I sign up for the class?

I would suggest walking around your house in them first, and practicing that way. You break the shoes in, and then you can take baby steps into getting used to wearing them. When I wore shoes like those, I would clean up around the house to get used to wearing them. These days give me a wedge and I'm good.

i wore those shoes alot when i was a bit younger..i dont know how i got to walk in them, I just knew i always wore them and now I cant stand wearing stilettos...i started using pumps for work and even that bothers me. Now i stick to flats and sometimes wedges...but if u want to learn, buy one pair and just walk around ur home with it all the time and not small strides either

anyway it happened about 8. I just started wearing my moms heels around the house when she wasn't at home. So by the time I could get a pair of heels around 16 (not as high as those) I was a pro.
Like they said practice plus those shoes are designed to wear on occasion not all day

buy a pair that's reasonable 4" with a 1" platform
make sure you have the correct size
purchase inserts whether for the heel part or the ball of your foot or your arch - this helps customize the fit cos its mass manufactured shoes you gotta make it feel like it was made for your foot shape.

mrs yankee doodle. i am with you all the way.. i wore heels so damn much that now i love flats and the occasional wedge.. lol.. i only wear heels for special occasions now yes.. i aint able.. plus the amount of woman i see having to go for foot related issues.. i am good.. sexy in the heels now will lead to sexy with the cane later.. moderation is the key..

yup! plus i hate that baby fawn look some of these chicks have walking in these heels. they have sexy flats and platforms for that.

na is not baby fawn.. they does be crawling around the place like they just tief something and get word that police in de area and they have to "slide" away from de crime scene LOL.. smh

I couldnt go nowhere without heels and I eh know if I paying for it now but lawd I cant stand a heel..if i go somewhere that requires heels, best believe I have some flats in the car...my friends used to laugh when I started clubbing with my sandals, but at the end of the night, guess who walking real straight and dem limping away

omg yes! i hate to go places that u gotta dress up and wear heels now.. and if i DO go, i have a pair of ballet flats or sandals in my pocketbook.. i just like being comfortable now... heels is for a quick entrance and exit.. i cant be bothered to twist my ankle on some of these sidewalks yes..

I like wearing heels , sometimes wear shoes or flat ones but love to go out with heels . and I'll wear them .
I use some stuff for comfortable to wear heels .

i saw the "crooks" saturday at my cousin's wedding and somebody was having the hardest time walking around in a pair of these . I could barely do the wobble without fear being tiptoed to death.

yes-- i tried that type of shoe on in the store yesterday. what i tried on was a little too steep for my liking though. i knew my feet would be KILLING me after ten minutes or so.

I dont undersatand them...
