Question Hair Coloring Question

ok, so i have had my natural hair color for the past 6 years and i am ready for a change, but i am kind of worried about the damage that may take place if I put a color or highlights in my hair. My hair is VERY heathly at this time. I just do not want to damage it when i put the color in it.

My question is what steps did you take to maintain heathly hair after putting a color or highlights in your hair? Who applied the color or highlights to your hair? What kind of products did you use to decrease any damage to your hair?

Is your hair natural as well?

if it is sometimes i feel like coloring changes the texture of your hair a bit however deepconditioning when next you wash it should help a lot.

If you hair is processed try not to add any chemicals...chemically straighten for a few weeks cuz the combination of coloring and straightening will prob do more harm than good

So conditioning, oils anything to protect the hair shaft from drying out as it is prone to do.

I've never had my hair changed before..
To change a hair color putting a color or highlights in your hair gives deep damage on your hair..
so the best way is never do that.. I suppose..

Taj and Chie, my is not natural.

I was told by my hairdresser that coloring hair does change the texture of hair. However, I do relex my hair every six weeks as well as cutting my ends. And I have to say that by me going every week to get my hair done over the past 4 years, I have noticed a total 360 with my hair. I am just kind of worried about how bad my hair will get damage if i do put the color in. Right now my hair is at its VERY BEST.

Now, I have seen some girls who had gotten their hair colored and go to the same hairdresser that I go to and they shit looks fcuked up and I refuse to come out looking like them. I pay too much money every week for hair to be coming out looking like shit.

thanks for you all words, but I am still thinking rell hard about doing it.
