Dinner Dance attire??

So I have 2 dinner dances to attend in Decemeber, and I need to not only look for a dress, but I'm wondering if my date should also be in the similar style of my dress like from shirt/tie/ color... One is a black n' white affair which is fairly easy for him to just get a suit and tie... the other is color of choice, and I want to wear something in the burnt orange/brown shades. Should I let him know my colors and see that he gets something to match me?? I mean this is not no boyfriend/husband ting, so when I tell him to do it he can say he don't want to and move his merry way, lol... But do you think it's nice for the couple to match for these affairs?...

Maybe you can tell him your colours so he doesn't clash with your selection.

Love the color choice, BTW.

Well your dress thread was what sparked my attraction to the colors, plus a designer friend of mine has some ideas..

I'm going to ask him today, but I have a feeling his demanding tail going to say something to me and I may just have to give him the boot. I have my cousin as back up to come with me, so he would be forced to wear the colors of my choice.

Why not just tell him that the dinner is important to you and that you want you and him to dress in similiar colors. I want to see pictures of you when you are all dressed up in burnt orange and brown. Lovely fall colors.

I love when couples match there outfit together.
They look on point/sharp maybe I'm ol school, but it's classy like a old gucci or louis never goes out of style.

I dont know if your colors need to necessarily match, but it is great when colors compliment each other. If you wear that orange for example, if he wears a brown or tan, some such simlar thing. It looks very good.

I agree - I think it doesn't necessarily have to be the same - but a very nice complement color would be great.
