Diet n' skin/complexion:

So I've been fasting for the past couple of days and started back on a vegan diet. To my astonishment at first my skin was breaking out and I was told that my skin is purging toxins... but 2 days later my skin started to clear up and just had a glowing tone... So I realized that I let go of dairy and meat... so I'm figuring one of the 2 is not agreeing with me and my skin. Has this happened to anyone else?

Seriously I've been doing some research on the foods we eat and just how Chinese food, McD's, etc. are hurting our community. We are fattening the community with a spot on every corner and block. Also I have to say this I've been doing fire breaths and my breathing is amazing...

I was trying to find a great explanation of this online because I learned this through visual/practice exercises but here's something I found online that's breathing exercises for sex... very similar. I'll highlight the points specifically!

Step Two: Breathing Exercises
Like Kegels, breathing exercises are easy to learn and practice, and require only a few minutes. The following are adapted from Kundalini yoga, often described as sexual yoga because the exercises target the pelvic and genital areas. You don't have to do breathing exercises every day or every time you make love. Some women use them only when they're having trouble focusing on lovemaking or sustaining arousal during sex.
1. The Breath of Fire. Use this before or during lovemaking to get you in the mood or increase arousal, especially if you're having trouble reaching orgasm. There's no simpler way to oxygenate the blood, a process that increases sexual energy and elevates desire. Take rapid, rhythmic and shallow breaths through the nose. Keep your mouth closed. Breathe this way for one to three minutes.

2. Fire Breathing. Similar name, different technique. Practice it alone before incorporating it into lovemaking. Lie on your back, knees bent, feet spaced well apart. Start by taking deep breaths: Pull each breath into your body so deeply that you feel your diaphragm expanding. Imagine this huge intake of air going all the way down into your genitals. When you exhale, pull that air all the way up from your genitals and out of your body.

After a dozen or so deep breaths, pant by breathing rapidly from your belly with your mouth open. Do this 10 or 20 times, then breathe deeply, inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth. Make the breathing a continuous circular motion. Imagine a circle of fire, beginning as a small circle, composed at first only of nose and mouth, then expanding to include chest, belly and finally genitals. Feel the erotic heat moving in a circle throughout your body as you breathe. And feel your arousal growing with every breath.

I stopped eating cheese for almost a month and I have noticed the difference in my skin. My naturopath doctor told me it was the cheese that was making my skin break out.

Yes and I noticed I'm not constipated anymore..lol...I also read in Oprah latest magazine that the milk we drink is not necessarily good for us as well. We should drink organic milk. So I'm going to spend a little more in order to be healthier. The author stated that the cows are overworked and they constantly inject them in order to get milk from them. You have to wonder why man has all these ailments in our bodies. It's the foods that we eat. Science and man has destroyed the food chain.

interesting:
Animal fat itself contains some cholesterol, but saturated fat (a large component of animal fat) stimulates cholesterol production in humans and so animal fat contributes in two ways to cholestrol levels. Saturated fat raises blood cholesterol more than anything else in the diet. This type of fat is found in large quantities of animal products, including fatty meats, cold cuts, poultry skin, cheeses, butter, shortening, chocolate and coconut.

hmm i would not say that.. but really the application of science.. because some people want to make profits.. like bread for example the more unhealthy it is the longer is lasts.. whole wheat bread has a short shelf life by almost 4 days..

Oh I cut milk out, my mom still drinks it, but uses organic but she's trying to get into rice milk. I've been trying to make my own almond and cashew milk (I need to make my substitute) You talk about constipation, well alot of times our bodies can't break down these substances well and we see the difference in our bowel movements as well as skin, people would be surprised but also in our attitudes.

Yes, the author Marion Nestle stated that we shouldn't drink milk with rbST in it. She stated that no one would want to drink milk from an stressed, overworked, hormonally charged cow. That we should drink milk from calm cows...lol...I agree with her. rbst stands for recoimbinant bovine somatotropin in case anyone wants to do research on it. She has a new book coming out What to Eat

You are so right..."you are what you eat"...so therefore a man that eats pork/pig don't be surprised if he acts like one...lol!! My father has always said that to us.
