CoCo Butter

Does it really work??

Be honest ... I feel like I've been using it for years and my skin doens't have much change ...

is there a lotion/cream that's better ??

And does anyone use coco butter on their face? If so, any results?

What are you using it for? If it's to soften skin, use Palmer's. I use their shea butter formula instead (keeps the ash away in winter). If you're using it to fade dark spots, I'm not sure. I would use over-the-counter stuff to lighten (e.g. Black Opal Lightening Gel) or see a doctor for something stronger. It depends on what you're using it for.

Well, I think it depends on what kind you're using. Are you using the one in the bottle? It's best to use the one that comes in the rawest form. I only use the raw cocoa butter that comes in the plastic bags because it works the best I feel. But, I use it on my face as well and so far, so good.

I've been using palmers cocoa butter cream on my skin for years now. I don't use it the summer though, instead I use kerri.
I never put it on my face though..way too oily for a facial moisturizer.

I use palmer's coco butter in the bottle w/ the pump ...

sometimes i use the coco butter in the jar on my knees and elbows...

i was always told since i was little that coco butter helps smooth out marks on your skin ...

i'm using it to do so and maintain the softness of the skin and my feet ... i notice that my legs get dry very often even after using coco butter which i'm surprised bcuz the lotion is so damn thick ...

any tips?

I use Aveeno or Lubriderm with oatmeal on a daily basis. If I want my skin to be extra soft I use shea butter. I have never been impressed with cocoa butter.
My skin is very dry especially in winter so I use plain ole Vaseline on my face at night once a week or so and my face is soooo soft when I wake up ( I don't recommend this for people with sensitive skin).

i can't take the smell of cocoa butter anymore but when i used it, it generally worked well. i've switched to shea butter & olive body butter now though. i find they work better for my skin. i never used cocoa butter on my face, it just seemed like it would clog up my pores, i use vitamin E oil or pure olive oil on my face, they keep the complexion clear and the face moisturized well.

cocoa butter is soooo over-rated. it doesn't do much for stretch marks or dark marks as it claims to. the only thing i think cocoa butter is good for is just moisturizing the skin.
