I've used these brands in jet black or blue black
oh thats why you can use a rinse you go darker

yea Agro I've done it like that before. part from ear to ear and only apply on the front and not all the way to the ends so i dont' fry/bleach them out and cause breakage. Then if anything is left do it real liberal in the back just enough so its not a sharp contrast.... the more i think about it nah meen coloring it

I got this product from target: Organic Coconut and Hibiscus Curling Souffle

I did some two strand twists and then twisted them into bantu knots. I took 'em down today and the results were really nice. I put a little bit of the souffle on my fingers for each twist. My hair feels really moisturized and it keeps it soft.

Maybe I'll just dye half my head and not color all the way to the tips?

aww looks great

hmmm can you blow dry em straight? start using lots of leave in cond.
that is so true..although i have always had a color in my hair with bleached ends, my last time around with coloring my hair I find that i need to be shampooing my hair every week because it is dry and having flakes too....

yes she is a doll.

I actually ordered the products she was reviewing so I will see how it goes for my hair. My new growth is coming in fast n furious but since its been so long since I've seen my natural hair I can only guess what texture it is........so this will be some serious trial and error for me. lol

that souffle seems to be a favorite from all the hair blogs I have been reading of late.

that sounds nice..is it anyting like a a hair butter?

i ran across some good old palmers (the cocoa butter ppl) hair butter..it works amazingly on my daughter head..it always look dry and its a funky brown/red color..so it always look like it need a shine. the hair butter leave it soft and light feeling ( i dont like that heavy feeling grease stuff)..holds moisture and shine..works in her hair wet and dry

The texture is not like a butter, it's like a gel but it doesn't harden the hair. It keeps the hair soft, moisturized and gives a sheen. The ingredients are also all natural.

that last one, I keep staring at wondering how many times they had to try in order to get that shot!

I tried the pre-poo thing last week to keep my natural hair and relaxed hair soft to eliminate breaking and it made my hair worse.
I think coconut oil and my hair do not like each other. May try it again without the coconut oil and use aloe vera gel and see if that works better.

I used to use amla oil to pre poo when I was transitioning.

I got a rinse yesterday so I'm going to apply it today... hopefully I don't turn into a hot mess.

do u use just the alma oil or do u mix it with other things? Do u leave it overnight?

I think in the summer time when my hair grows out a bit more I will do a henna to soften the roots as well.
