took out the braids . I have decent growth. conditioning now

with the braids i felt like i wasn't giving my hair attention ie deep conditioning, moisturizing enough or even knew what products it liked.

I wanted to start back the new yr. au naturale all me BUT now they're out gahhhh can't wait to put them back in. I'll give it a month rest.

I may post a pic later. it would be of after i put conditioner in.

Hey Ladies, got some pics to share..

This is when I straightened my hair for thanksgiving. I'll probably never do it again...it was too much work!

This is me now and I absolutely love my hair!!....it's a blow out.

My hair was fine after I straightened it. It's alot of heat but I say go for it, just don't do it often, it's like a once in a blue type of thing. How often do you blow dry your hair after you wash?

Because it's winter I blow dry my hair after I wash but then again I only wash my hair like every 2 - 3 weeks, and I do co-washes, ACV rinses, and deep co treatments often, and I also put shea butter on my ends...so I guess it's not that bad that I blow dry it each time I wash.

i hardly ever blow dry it. i may wash it, put it in twists and depending how late it is or how damp their are (with products etc) i may hold the blow dryer over my head for a few mins, but that's maybe twice. and i wash every week or so

i have a little system.

I do shampoo if i have it, conditioner is usually garnier or pantene natural.

I put in that jamaican mango lime oil and some cream conditioner. let that set, rinse it.

then i moisturize with oil therapy by softsheen and their polisher too, in sections.

in a spray bottle i have water, peppermint oil, rosewater and infusium 23

about 4 months.
Argh well i condition and blow dry the hair last night and twist today gosh it took forever and it seems like sooo much hair came out. I think in a couple weeks I will go get a press or just flat iron my hair at home so I can give it a trim.

it sure did, I'm pushing for a full 12 inches by my 2 yr anniversary, June 13th....this time around, I realized less is more.

I keep it simple: Nature's Blessing greese in my roots, a spritz bottle of water and castor oil used whenever my hair needs moisture, raw shea butter for my ends, when I'm styling. In the beginning I started using Boundless Tresses oil, Mega-Tek rebuilder, Hairever II Hair & Scalp Vitamin Tonic from Home Health, and vitamin E oil...haven't used them in a while but I feel like in the beginning these products really made my hair grow a lot.
