JRR TOlkein

so u may have enjoyed the films "the lord of the rings trilogy"

maybe you remember the hobbit animated movie from 1977?

well let me tell you the books are extraordinary too.

Tolkein was a fan of the power of art, myth and its philosophical implicaitons.

he created a universe of middle earth, the land from which the stories of his books come form.

he even had languages planned out. truly a genius

his books are probably the greatest 20th century fantasy infact it would be a crime to label his timeless tales.

they will be studied for generations.

his prose, his attention to detail

his sense of humor

his mastery of epic and mythic story telling is comparable to greek or egyptian or hindu works.

these books are just great

you sohuld read the hobbit and all three "lord of the rings" books

if u are really into it read "the silmarillion"
