    Derek Walcott for me is the best, he has also won the Nobel prize for literature. I am loving the fact that he is from St. Lucia. His writing is not really Caribbean but more of an English(British style). I also love George Lamming's in the Castle of My Skin, Andrea Levy's Small Island and Malorie Blackman Noughts and Crosses.

    big up, Mr. Walcott! i also liked in the Castle of My Skin. we had to read it in my Creole Narratives class. prof had a British accent, locs, and was a looker....let me tell you!
    you don't have to disrespect or insult others simply to hold your own ground. if you do, that shows how shaky your own position is.
