last year around the same time i remember it being even worse...(a pitty carnival is so early this year). Higher than high, open de gate, jumbie, last lap, fete after fete aso all turned out to be hits for me personally being in de middle of feteing 1 week before carnival. I think there´s still enough good n mashy stuff for a fete... but yeah, still not one turned out to be a big hit. Couldn´t name a distinct one for roadmarch or soca monarch.

In 2007, there were CHUNES you could have PINPOINTED as being HITS. When I heard the chune by "CRAZY".....damn....I FORGOT the name of it.........I knew that was a LEGITIMATE HIT.

It practically REVIVED Crazy's career.

When I heard "ONE MORE TIME" I knew that was a LEGITIMATE hit.

There is no song by the BIG GUNS (SHURWAYNE, WINER BOY, DESTRA, MAXIMUS DAN, FAYANN, IWER, etc.) that just GRABS U, IMMEDIATELY.

There are no LEGITIMATE HITS out there.

NOTHING!

It has been so BAD for TRINI in 2008 that I had to go and PSYCHE up myself for that BUNJI chune, because I saw NOTHING else out there to GRAVITATE to.

But I still HOLDING out HOPE that by NEXT WEEK something BIG is going to DROP.

I have to SHAKE my HEAD that the only thing that the TRINIS can really talk about is a PATRIOTIC SONG.

Buoyyyyy, when that LIKKLE CHUNE becomes your BIGGEST song, U know TRINIDAD is not saying a THING.

I for one hearing much much good music coming out of tnt this year and the diversity this year is better than previous years. If no more new songs drop in tnt for Carnival this year there is more than enough to ensure that we get we fill of good music for this season. I cya wait to fly down.
