Why are other Artists not getting major bookings?

Every major venue, it is all about Machel, Iwer, Destra, etc.


Time after time folks are complaining about “ We Ting ,” and “We Artists “ not being the Best at what they do, if so why then in every major cities in the USA and North America and the UK they demanding “ We Artist ? “

We don’t own these clubs, also not all promoters are Trinis, so why aren’t the other Islands getting a Bligh ?

and why folks then mad at we.


What conclusion can you come up with ?

BLAME the GREEDY PROMOTERS....they're only out to LINE their POCKETS, not to see the ART FORM grow.

It's because their seen as the top soca artists at the moment, I really dont kno y cuz nuna dem have no BIG song right now cuz jumbie,idare u & fete after fete ...are old songs...but like vincy said..promoters need cash & nobody can blame dem

That is exactly what it is. These fu**ers dont care about the artform at all. It's all about personal gain..

That's why I'm not going to Miami again until I see a better line up of artist.

Most of the promoters are Trini and if people aren't being exposed to other artists music on the radio and in the parties, why would promoters book them for shows????

if i was a promoter, I would booked artists from every island. I said this cuz on the upcoming Wet fete poster, they list 15 artists n 4 big bands. I think majority are goin 2b Trinis. I told the promoter who is havin the WEt Fete aug 19th to mix it up.

I said the artists should be:

Crazy-Trini
Shurwin-Trini
Problem Child-SVG
Skinny Fab-SVG
Zoleah r Firemen Hooper-SVG
Faud Squad-Bim

MOST of the so-called DJs on the RADIOS are TRINIS too, so U know what that MEANS.

In fact, MORE people would COME to such a SHOW.

I hearing that this year wet fete doesn't have that many trini acts this year. Thats what i heard i don't know how offical it is.

You also must blame the artist, alot of them will not work with artists (that they believe in their small minds are trying to get a name on their back) who are just coming up.

*sigh..... Let me ask these questions again....are there other soca promoters besides Trinis who are willing to take the chance with artists from their own islands? Will they ever step up to the plate so we can kill this argument once and for all, or are Trinis looked upon as natural born gamblers?

Soca and Mafia.....................RAH. The root of all evil could be traced back to them.
