What style of music does TOK do cuzz it doesnt really sound like reggae?

Doesnt TOK sound more like a soca band ...or do they just use a lot of the Trini style in there reggae?

nah . . .i think they're style is mainly dancehall, but they harmonize and have alot of vocals. its probably hard to differenciate because of the ragga-soca that has become so popular (ie. bunji garlin). alot of it is startin to sound like reggae to me.

I bet u before TOK no one could think the harmonize thing would work in dancehall either. If u could imagine it, it could happen.

The thing I like about TOK is when they 1st came out, they really wuzn't sounding that good. I can't remember any other dancehall act that improve so much so over time, so I respect them most for that.

I don't think they sound like a soca band, but I know they have a soca song out but i'm not feeling it like that. But they are very talented though. They have a song on the "Coolie Dance" riddim that is hot and the style they use is different.

There music is dancehall, to me it's just that the rhythm change from the drum and bass,it has more percussion just like soca...
And has a soca feel with some of there bass lines...

who remember bunji garlin song "hands up" . . . oui, that sounded too much like dancehall to me. im happy soca didnt stray too much to that direction, but maybe all of a sudden it will. but it still sounded like soca though, but whatever . . .

everything is evovling and changinig

african musik is changin into zouk

zouk/konpa is changing into calypso.

soca turning into dancehall

dancehall changing into hip hop
