Hopefully now that he has created a completely new genre of music called "Danzo" (at least in his mind) he will stop running behind my posts for pointless illogical arguments that make no sense to me about how SVG started Ragga-Soca. All islands have contributed significantly to the ragga-soca genre over the years since its inception in the late 80's/early 90's, some more so than others but the fact remains that the term ragga-soca was coined in T&T in early 1993 by Kenny Phillips one of the top producers in that soca sub-genre at the time and the concept for an annual Ragga Soca Monarch competition was also started in T&T in 1999. In other words if it wasn't for T&T there would not be an annual Ragga Soca Monarch competition in SVG today with that flawed entry structure that they have been using. It is partly T&T's fault because SVG copied the flawed structure of T&T's original Ragga Soca Monarch competition which is why I feel partly responsible as a Trini to clear up the confusion and provide some guidance on the original definition of what is Raggamuffin/Ragga-Soca. I havent read any of the ragga soca threads, cause dem just seemed useless..
but, IMO... Socapro is way more knowledgeable about soca, where as vincy powa only cares about SVG.. if you not bigging up SVG, he on ya case..
