Tuk and Tassa

2 clearly very influential drumming styles which have btoh contributed to soca. The former in its adolescence the latter in its infancy. Post videos of tassa and Tuk bands. Which one sounds sweeter to you? Right now i'm leaning towards tassa but only b.c. i know more tassa rhythms, plus i've heard it live. but i think tuk sounds better as recorded. but then again this link is on real television, where as the tassa vid is uncle rooplal holdin' de camera and shaking it up as Krishna meeting Latika.

Carnival: carne valle: farewell flesh means it is time to be myself in all my godly glory. I am a man created in God's image, making me beautiful. We get half naked in the bright sun, soak up some vitamin D and jump to a rythm because as human beings, rythms entrance us; they harken to our mothers' rhythmic heartbeat in the womb. Its a natural, healthy experience.
