Should Chalkdust step down.
"Chalkdust after winning the Calypso Monarch crown for de 8th time say now he equalled Sparrow's record he tinkin of steppin down out of respect for Sparrow. Others (friends etc) say he shouldn't cause de competition will lose it's essence if he do"

I would more say step aside but still be involved to encourage and guide the youths who are interested in recording and competing. Let the young ones see it's not just an ole people ting.

That's a good point.
I know he was teachin Calypso history etc at UVI and doin seminars at schools all around.

I agree! The man is just too good at what he does. He should only stop if he can't do it anymore.
