Seriously!

I must aknowlege that Soca's most popular worlwide star is in fact educating those in the dark about soca. I know I'm always in the midst of an argument about him but it truly has nothing to do with the music or him as an individual. Recently I was listening to Rick Dees on Z100 late at night and was pleased to hear him talk about Kevin, where he's from and about soca and its origin. He even mentioned that "Trinidad and Tobago, where soca originated is celebrating 100 years of carnival in 2005." Now obviously not all DJs and VJs will do the same but RD has been in the business many years and is a respected name in mainstream music radio, so its definitely refreshing to hear him deliver accurate information about our favorite genre. So to Kevin Lyttle and crew keep doing what you're doing and look at it this way: when we stop talking about you there's a problem. To Mr. VP yuh still an annoying wretch but you did in fact predict his rise so you were correct at least once in your life.

Well, in this long and drawn out battle between you and I, it is refreshing to see that we're finally on the same page.

As for the highlighted comment, I get paid to be right, and I have been right many times over, even on this same website in regards to other issues.

I had to laugh at your "annoying wretch" comment. It was quite amusing. Because it is an improvement on the other names that you've used to described me...all wrong of course.

kevin lyttle is biggin up soca....but i have a question: HOW COME IT'S SOCA IF AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SONG MADDZART SAYS," IT'S A DANCEHALL TING YUH KNOW?" or am i not hearing it right?

and i honestly think it's a ragga soca song....but who cares...honestly, he's from the caribbean and making soca big....but honestly...it's borderline reggae....and borderline soca...

Actually you're right since you did predict that Vin B. would be coming to the Knicks so yuh might have a future as a psychic. You've also been materially incorrect with many "facts" you've presented but thats a whole new show. Either way I am like I've said all along happy for KL the individual. I am now however happy for soca as well. As for being on the same page we'll see what the future holds Frank!

RK its a soca song no matter how u slice it. The dancehall these days resemble soca very closely but its still dancehall.

Ain't THAT the truth... dancehall getting scary nowadays... I could barely tell which is which. Lewwe not even talk about Elephant Man "Bad Mind" tune. LOL

Anyhow, to put in my two cents, I cosign Scorpion's sentiment... I been happy for Kevin all along and evenb happier for soca... but facts is facts and right is right at the end of the day.

Yay for KL and Soca... boo for those trying to misrepresent Soca as dancehall or any other damn ting.

Bless!
