Rupee makes 3rd appearance in VIBE magazine
A few months ago, Barbadian superstar Rupee was featured in one of the worlds largest circulated black/urban magazines, the VIBE. The section was the pubications "NEXT" feature, which showcases up and coming acts from across the world "ready to blow up" next.
After another very recent, small appearance in the magazines "Copped" section, which highlights certain items and gadgets "copped" by stars from all over, Rupee has now graced the pages of VIBEs most recent issue once again, in a big way. The section is called "PLAY" and features the young soca crooner, sharing one of his boyhood recipes of "roasted breadfruit and flying fish" prepared right on the beaches of his beautiful homeland Barbados. The down to earth portrayal and humble energy of the piece leaves the mouth wanting to travel to the island to taste, and the ears wanting to hear his music. Rupee also points out various spots around the globe where similiar tastes can be found, two of which are "Bajan Patsy" on Baxters Road, one of his favourite spots, and "Culpeppers" in Brooklyn NY. The July edition is on shelves for a few more days. |
