Well seeing as how the post is about VINCY SOCA 2004, and I am not trying to be disrespectful...but this room is called SOCA CHAT. I can go thru that post and find plenty of plain conversations asking what going on for the weekend, or someone husband coming home. It's too much if someone really wanted to find out about Vincy Soca music. I think 100 pages is too much & if you want to converse back n forth, then there is backchat and pm's. I like vincy soca & would like to know more about artistes myself...but 100 pages is really pushing it for the average person coming onto this site looking for info.

This is not about you or what you want. Whether the thread is 100 or 1000 pages should be irrelevant. As long as the participants are still active in the thread, there is no reason for closing it.

This thread is about a group of Vincies talking about Vincy soca and greeting each other in whatever way they chooses in a Soca chat forum.

This is the appropriate forum for such a discussion. This is the second time, I believe, that you have closed a thread in this soca forum. The Turn Me On thread being the other.

Are you jealous and envious at the length and breath of these threads?

Well I didn't realize the thread was limited to just Vincies. I thought anyone was welcome to learn about soca from other places. People complain about certain music being overlooked or underrated, but why would one want to go thru pages of regular conversations to find out who won what or what is popular. Again...you have backchat & pm mode. The other thread is irrelevant. When there is disrespect between people, why should a music forum contribute to nasty remarks made. Don't make this into a jealousy issue. The post is closed not deleted.

The thread is for anyone who wants to participate. But seeing that only Vincies are its participants, whose fault is that?

I am quite sure that comments were made within that thread that stated other members to give their input. No one felt the need to. So what is this gripe of yours?

Moreover, if you are soooooooooooooooooooooooo interested in Vincy Soca, how come I never saw not one response from you in the closed thread pertaining to soca music from Vincy Mas 2K4?

All I am seeing is a bunch of excuses, on your part, as to why you have chosen to close the thread.

I am quite sure if this was a thread about Krosfyah or Cropover music, you would not have a problem with it going on and on and on.

As far as your comment about "certain music being overlooked or under appreciated," I have zero problems with it, because I know the reasons behind it.

If there are individuals who feel compel to articulate their views on the subject, more power to those individuals.

Nevertheless, that issue has absolutely nothing to do with the Vincy Soca 2004 thread, so do not try to link the two.

By the way, I gave you much soca music to put in the A/V Room from Vincy Mas 2004; yet, you put only those that you felt should be in the A/V Room.

Should I conclude that you're a perfect example of an individual who is a practitioner of your comment of "certain music being overlooked or under appreciated?"

she is a moderator, if you wanna know who the other mods are when you click on soca chat & it brings you to the page with all the topics - scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page & on the right side you'll see a box with the rest of the mods for this forum

Vincypowa..you of all people should be happy that you are still allowed to post as you have been banned seveal times in the past. Please tell me which artiste that I missed puttin in the a/v room so that I can put them up. Yes you sent tunes...but as I have thousands of files(not all music) on my computer & files you sent to me would only show the title, I put up what I was able to find. You should have addressed this earlier. I like vincy music...I've said that before. But I am NOT going through 100 pages to find a posting of a song I may want to comment on. You can argue your point all you want. I am not changing my decision & you may take that up w/ someone else.

well if you have any problems w/ what I say...just simple opinions like anyone else. I don't try to cause conflict regardless of what a few people may feel. There are plenty more people on here who have more outspoken ideas and thoughts. I just don't like people to assume the reasons behind my opinions.

I have no idea what was in this "Vincy soca 2004" thread cause i never opened it.....HOWEVER.....Alot of times (on islandmix and other forums) I have opened threads about a topic i am interested in only to find that the content of the tread ends up to be 2 or more people having a conversation that has absolutely nothing to do with the topic. That is so annoying. So...in my opinion, if rummacita closed the thread for that reason...then i can see why. PM is here for a reason.

You gave Rummacita tunes... PM her instead of griping about it after the fact... and plz keep in Mind that these moderators put up tunes when they have time... they aint getting paid to do this... so if it was an oversight or juss no time... stop thinking its a hidden agenda...

as for netettiquite (typo?)... if you have EVER been on other decent boards of in the last 5 years... it is common for any moderator to close ANY thread that goes onto other topics... and of course we let things slide... but it never made sense for ppl to start new threads/topics in a post and have it go on for dayz... tink bout it... the VINCIES have plenty to say... i would rather see plent new threads about VINCY topics... so i can pop in and read... cuz all the other topics got lost in the Vincy Soca thread...

I juss really take offense to your comments to rummacita cuz she is a HUGE addition to this forum and she has contribute immensely to adding VINCY and BAJAN tunes to the AV/ROOM... and volunteers her time to do so ...

anyhow... rummacita and myself have supported your efforts from time and to call out rummacita is disrespect... your "complaints/issues" are getting tired for even the most patient.... myself...

p.s. if you truelly want to discuss how forums are run and how should be run... we can discuss... via PM... with examples... and you might be surprised at how lax we are...
