lol...I see this convo has come back....Personally I feel Pro Tools and Reason are the best.....

There are other good ones though notably Mac's Digital Performer, Cubase, Cool Edit Pro and Sonar...

But in the end, if you can afford it and all the plug ins, nothing beats Pro Tools.

Trixx I agree wid you. Protools is definitely the best. There aint nothing you cant do wid that programme. I use sonar for all my midi stuff them import it into protools.

I am also stuck in my old way. For years I've used cakewalk6,8,9, and now Cakewalk Sonar. Im so confortable with it that I find it extremely hard to change. You can close your eyes and work wid it. When I dump my drums I send them through my MPC2000xl as audio files into protools. For Keyboard tones I use a JV1080 or my proteus 1000 modules.

Dont forget you definitely need a good sound card in your system. If you have a good sound module with good drum tones you dont really need the MPC. The MPC is gonna sequence just like the Triton would. What kind of speakers did you order?

just like everything else....Fruity Loops, Reason and Triton wouldn't be worth the money without the tones....But what I like about the MPC, especially the MPC60 is that raw analog sound u can't seem to get anymore in the newer models or even the computer sequencers....I believe they emulated tube compressors in that model....

All hail the MPC.
