I'm talking about she is a hordcore lyricist you can always tell a real lyrics person when you hear them voice a dubplate or they can just bust an extempo about something that just happened. Fayeann can't do that and Precious can and maybe Ms. Alysha can do it too.

precious most versatile female artiste

The female menace trust me precious is no joke
She is by far the most versatile female artiste out of Trinidad most style and patterns
Sing, rap, chant, and freestyle anything and she writes her own songs
She also has some big combos.
To name a few Alison and precious, 3suns and precious, machel and precious

Well don’t talk about dub plates
Foreign bass and spoil brattz could tell you her plates will make a dj want to go home and forget dj business
I am about 3rd in wicked precious plates
Big up to precious the “female menace"

NUFF LOVE AND RESPECT

Born in 1977, Vanessa “Precious” Thomas has known since childhood that she was destined to entertain. Having music as a constant in her home, thanks to her father being a disc jockey when she was younger, Precious fondly recalls singing to her heart’s content to any of the latest records he brought home every Friday as a child.

Through the perpetual encouragement and support from her parents, Precious would perform at tea parties and other functions as a young child. Through this, she began honing her skills as a stage performer. In addition to these performances, the determined youngster also entered many school competitions and always came out a favorite. In 1989, Vanessa entered Trinidad and Tobago’s famous twelve and under competition; after placing second in the semi-finals, she advanced onto the Teen Talent and Party Time contests, perfecting her skills for what was ahead.

After taking the focus off of music for a few years to attend school, Precious auditioned for producer Shel Shoc in 1996. In the famed and lauded producer’s own words, he was “blown away” by the petite beauty’s talent. Shortly after, the two began production work on her first underground single “Slow Wyne” featuring Maga Dan, now known as Soca phenomenon Maximus Dan. Around this time, Precious also performed in many concerts through which she gained indispensable experience in the music industry, opening up for acts like dancehall sensation Lady Saw, R&B star Monica, as well as Hip-hop’s Refugee Allstars when they came to Trinidad.

In 1998, Precious flew to Jamaica to record with General Degree and Hawkeye on the now defunct Main Street record label. After her stint in Jamaica, she went to New York to record. Unfortunately none of the work done at that time was released; however, eager to prove herself, Precious went back into the studio with another producer, the late Kirk Mitchel. Together, the two recorded and released the monster hit “Ridin’ It” in 1999 under the Link Up label for a Carnival 2000 release. Shortly afterward, Precious went into the studio again with long time collaborator Shel Shoc, the end result was the hit “Ring My Bell”.

Since then Precious has gone on to work with some of the best in the Soca industry. Having recorded with the Queen of Soca, Ms. Allison Hinds, and the “Bad Boys of Soca,” 3 Suns, crafting the hit single “Baby,” Precious also co-wrote Denise Belfon’s mega hit “Panic.”

Presently, Precious is working on carnival 2006 releases with Shawn “Da Ma$tamind” Noel, and will soon be in studio with Shel Shoc as well. Destined to be the best at what she does, Precious continues to put in the work to provide her loyal fans with great music.

We see you Miss thing...can't wait to hear what you got!!!!!!!!!!
