Patrice is a very good singer and the music on this song is good enough but the lyrics are poor. Lord when will these song writers learn? Soca music has been there and done that way too often... good singer, good music but the lyrics don't get a pass mark form me!

No for me, and what's with autotuning the back vocals....
Our Queen went to sleep, her people left to weep....in song she lives on.

    Totally disagree!!
This is a soca song in the long standing calypso tradition of double-entendre and I think it should be a hit and deserves to be one. Plus there is no mention of carnival anywhere in the song and she pays tribute to David Rudder's "Hammer".
Brilliant groovy song from Patrice in my opinion!

For example Timaya currently has a big hit called "Bum Bum" in which he only sings about a female shaking her Bum Bum and that hasn't stopped the track from being a big hit.

What will determine how big a hit this Patrice song becomes is down to marketing because everything else that is required for it to be a hit is there.

Boss check yuhself... double entendre is an art that when applied well can mean more than one thing and can leave you in doubt... it is a tricky thing to get right. The lyrics in this song point clearly to one thing. If you can't recognize that then so be it.

This song goes down a road already traveled and is clearly in poor taste if you ask me... BTW, r you in doubt regarding what Patrice means when she says.... "Pong It"!

Both of you guys are right. It is a double entendre song but very very poorly done as far as the lyrics go....she made a very weak attempt to tie pan to the ponging....but very weak.... She just abandoned the whole idea about the pan and just starting talking straight sex talk. well yes!

Anyway the song will get played in soca fetes as the music is good enough.
