Wha alya think about the new Bajan soca?

I like the songs this year from Little Rick, Timmie, Krosfyah(Edwin Yearwood), and Alison Hinds.

But I am still waiting to hear one that could get a crowd in a frenzy! A real jump up song.

No one should lose sleep over it. But its good when a song can cross all boundaries.

The Bajans are very good but i dont think any one could touch Machel

i second that one look what all de bajan artists like alison hinds, square one, rupee, keann, etc., look at what they have done for the soca music scene it dont matter what country the music or de artists are from it is all good . It is about loving de sweet soca music.
and when i for one listen to soca music it dont matter what country it does be from cause soca is soca regardless!

well lately in trinidad there are alot of winin up and medium paced songs out there that are now the majority of music made in trinidad let's look at last year of the most pop. songs that werent made tuh jump n wave:
passion, whey yuh want, focus, wrong timin, front, low rise, rough jammin, sexual feeling(not sure if thats the name by the guy in roycape), injection, trini 2 de bone, snake oil, dechire, nasty, choo choo, sweet soca party, saucy baby, rough wine, rough wine remix, wine n bend over, de jumbie remix, kock back n roll, supervisor, sexy ways, catholic woman, doh wanna know, doh hold meh back...etc.

then look at de other islands songs who didnt make a jump up song that did well
turn it up, power drill, get ready to wine, till morning, road jam, etc.
so once it soundin good it go make anwhere, bajans doh mek music to please trini's n trini's doh mek music to please bajans, they mek music to pleez dey fans anywhere the come from, no matter if its a jump, wave, wine, wuk, juk, chip, or jouvert song.
