KES hard to beat this year

Yeah there will be bigger hits and more popular songs but for my money the 1.2 combination that KES put out this year really hard to beat. The quality of the music is just outstanding. There isn't many songs soca songs these days that can be classified as beautiful....but this song by KES does. The song is beautifully arranged and beautifully sung...every musical instrument and vocal conspire together in this composition and the result is an absolutely beautiful song. This feeling is a wonderful wonderful song.

As if that is not enough his follow up is a big jam and wine tune that has a good chance to mash up fetes. Ah love the arrangement in this one as well. And here again the musicianship and the vocals are just outstanding. This one is called Thunder. Ah love how its starts and the pause in the middle. Big Big friggin tune.

The combination of these two tunes from the same artist so far is unmatched.

100% agree- easily one of the best (if not the best full band) in the Caribbean- always keeping it very positive and lively- listening to these two tunes right now

I went to the KTB show in Brooklyn for Labor Day 08 and was kind of disappointed in the turnout- I mean I realize that the promoter booked this show at Club Exit in Greenpoint and I realize that if the party ain't out in Richmond Hill, Ozone Park, or Flatbush soca people don't turn out- but they still rocked it and put on a great performance

Anybody remember the band that KES used to front for before he started his own band. The name is right on the tip of my tongue but it escapes me right now. These guys were some of the baddest musicians in tnt because they were true musicians who could hit you with pop and rock and whatever else in the off season as well. Does anybody know if some of the guys from that band defected to KES's new band? I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Imij and Co is correct. Yeah man them fellas could bring it to you anyhow yuh want. They were known in the pop rock circles in tnt for a while but outside out Golo I didn't regard them as a big soca band until a few years ago when i had the opportunity to check them out in several fetes and they outplayed all the other known band that I saw that season. Oustanding musicians in that band.
