the music is fine (prominent riddim box music and all, everybody else is doing it anyway), they just need to advertise and market their music more....

wh play lazy...maybe when they in skn, but they prolly do that cuz they home...but when these band come here in nyc they tear it up..

dude....nothing wrong with what these bands do musically. no other bands in the caribbean or in music really doing anything different when it comes to music. we bands actually doing more than alot of other music especially when it comes to riddim (our riddim box men can outdo majority of rap producers when it comes to making beats)....we riddim complex no fukk f you listen to our shyt and stuff on the radio.....most pop, trini type soca and rap beats simpler than wilders....

and we bassman dem steady....

our lyricist come up with alot nice melodies and strong hooks (de lyrics tight for what they are, but we could expand on subject matter)...

and oh yea

not because pur music (or any music) isnt popular doesnt mean it's bad...

alot of the times the best music is the least popular...because pop music is normally the easiest to swallow...

to me skn style soca is like hardcore soca, soca for raggamuffin and so...it aint stuff that alot of people would want to get into because it sounds very brash, wild, masculine and dangerous...alot of people tell me the same thing...

its just like labor day weekend here in nyc, i went to a few parties and they play some wilder. son, that was the only music that made people start push and shove, the dj had to ease up on it and lick in some rubbers and reggae to cool the place down...

you not getting my point......

all we care is riddim box and riddim box..... when last you see a hardcore keyboardist a hardcore guitarist hardcore drummer( except for offy) come out of sk??.... our riddim is complex yes.,......but its like we aint want the world know about it.....our marketing and networking is SLACK.....none of the bands in sk gone to other islands and say " HEY I WANT U JUMP ON MY RIDDIM" just imagine u get a vincy to jump on a st.kitts riddim that gone make a st.kitts band reach down st.vincent to produce or perform.....and the bands in st.kitts lacking that completely.....we are to small minded and don't think out the box in st.kitts.....i read couple comments on sknvibes today and some folks talking the samething i talking about...........the bands here are lacking MUSICALLY....all they doing is riddim riddim riddim riddim..........where is the music they use to play when MUSIC CAN LAST for a life time...............now a days the music coming out of sk don't last....it only last for a year and gone dead.....because 1 we don't compose and arrange our stuff......and now the bands not taking things serious....its october now and we havent release one song and carnival is in 2 months.....thats why i am vex with these bands

and these bands getting hired from the same promoters every year for in NY and miami.....when we gonna venture out more when last a st.kitts band went england to play and we have so much kittitians live in england??

the bands in st.kitts need to stop their foolishness and be serious in what they do....and start NETWORKING with other regional artist...if they wanna get real big......but everybody knows all....and we need to stop blaming trinis for our mistakes.....because one thing i give trinis for is they know how to market....instead we stop say we wanna sound trini and shit in our music....we need to start take a page or two in how we can market and get our music out more in the region and world.....NU VYBES had the only oppurtunity for us when they make DON'T STOP THE TEMPO video nu vybes was the most serious band in a long time cause they was playing music....this when steba was running the band.... and thats why nu vybes reach real far....now nu vybes turn into a riddim band and small axe had turn into one they sank when small axe play they original style they had before ras kelly came in the band small axe reach belgium......the original nu vybes use to reach cananda NY and miami both small axe and nu vybes touring........... you don't understand THE WORLD AUDIENCE looking for a band that play MUSIC.... not a riddim machine......if we wanna reach HUGE in the music industry.... we need to PLAY MUSIC and stop concentrate on who is riddim man and dem bullshit......i telling you from experience....

im 27

so if we need to play real music in order to blow up then how come soca atist from the bigger islands mostly use riddim box for their songs and still blow up....alot of these cats dont even use bands now they just use tracks and a dj when they perform..

look at rap, dancehall and pop, al they use for their music is a drum machine and they blow up...

the reason why they blow is marketing.....not the music because their shyt is not musical. i dont know what you're talking about saying we need real music to blow up when other island dont even use real music and they still blowing up..people these days dont even listen "real music", lol.......
