From the day i start using this site, i been readin threads bout island music combat, and who island is the best... the latest i been reading is, are the other islands like st lucia and vincy delivering music up to the level of the soca mother land - trinidad... so tell me, 2008 how we looking ?, last year was a good year for st vincent and st lucia..did those islands step up or step down for 2008?, and should we expect more or less from dem later this carnival season? what are the hits for 2008 compare to 2007?... in the meantime take a listen to the new riddim(antigua carnival 2008)....

for 08, i like de groovy stuff coming from vincy land and a few of de ragga soca songs from bim. not to flatter anyone, slaughter art is trying up the level of production/arrangement in soca;that is a good ting for de industry.

vincy producers really came hard this year. and dwain antrobus from bim is coming as a producer. his productions are gaining traction. red boyz from bim really worked magic with de groovy soca last two years. seems like dey wanna do de same with de ragga soca. some producers are trying to take their soca arrangement/production is de next level.

notice; i did not say anything about de trini producers. but shell shock is gold as a producer.


so far this year, vincy land is doing it tight.

how comes soca producers dont make de bassline in their more pronounce?
