Yes it's groovy-soca pace wise and beat wise but lyrically and musically it still has the ragga elements so can also be classed as a ragga-soca.
Not all tunes classed as ragga-soca are clear cut ragga-soca but that's the beauty of soca music, the wide variation in soca styles possible! ![]() __________________ Aka Soca PhD your no.1 Soca music "Edutainer" Catch me Every Saturday 2-4pm GMT from London On www.GenesisRadio.co.uk (96.6FM) www.facebook.com/socaphd www.twitter.com/socaphd email: projampro@yahoo.co.uk Hailing from Trinidad & Tobago and very proud of it!! It is really a pace/power soca done by a known reggae artist but some folks would still class it as a ragga-soca because of the singer or style of the lyrics!
They do this with Bunji all the time even when he sings straight power soca! __________________ Aka Soca PhD your no.1 Soca music "Edutainer" Catch me Every Saturday 2-4pm GMT from London On www.GenesisRadio.co.uk (96.6FM) www.facebook.com/socaphd www.twitter.com/socaphd email: projampro@yahoo.co.uk Hailing from Trinidad & Tobago and very proud of it!! So is it possible that most soca fans are like sheep and are part of the problem rather than being part of the solution? ![]() __________________ Aka Soca PhD your no.1 Soca music "Edutainer" Catch me Every Saturday 2-4pm GMT from London On www.GenesisRadio.co.uk (96.6FM) www.facebook.com/socaphd www.twitter.com/socaphd email: projampro@yahoo.co.uk Hailing from Trinidad & Tobago and very proud of it!!
