If You Were A Calypsonian

Who would you like do be and why?

I would like to be like kitch, and rose,

Kitch for his creativity. His music had such imaginative lyrics, and funny jeering punch lines. He had style, and ppl respected him. He made good music.

Rose, she broke down barriers for women, and changed the role of how women were percieved as being background singers, in calypso. She won titles, and became the first ever female to win a Calypso Monarch, as well as Roadmarch. She shows to be a woman of will, determination, and a trendsetter.

I would also like to be a little bit of Crazy. The symbolism behind the words of his music speaks for itself.

I would be King Short Shirt. The only calypsonian to do a 'hatrick" 4 Times. Have over 15 crowns along roadmarches. Despite his accomplishments I feel lyrical hes the best or not far from it at all. This man defeated the government so many times in his songs. He opens eyes.It made me realize how powerful lyrics are, and how effective they can be.

To put so much emotion into one song..that song EMMERTON evoke so much raw emotion, yet lyrics so simple.

If I had the chance to be someone else, it would be JACKIE OPEL.

"Gone too soon"
