I finally saw the soca monarch video
From what I saw: Shurwayne had the better stage performance and Bunji had the better crowd response. I was most impress with Nadia Batson...she really had a real strong performance.

 Shurwayne really mash-up the place that Night and he very well deserve to win the SOCA MONACH FINAL...For Bunji, one of the SWAT members got stuck on the rope at leadge of the covered stand...that just cost Bunji points right there. |

Bunji had the crowd..he was probably in awe by what he was seeing or something, but by his looking at and watching the crowd it was affecting his performance. Maybe its just his usual extemporaneous approach but he wasn't like that the last couple years he performed straight on...not looking for crowd reaction. And shurwayne juss got to business and did his thing. Don't know what the criteria is or should be for judging these types of competition whether crowd response or stage performace. There should be a seperate handsome prize for both to avoid too much controversies.

I got mine for $5 in Jersey City/Journal Square...I get Dimanche Gras, Panarama, and a Parade of the Bands DVD for $14! I think Fay Ann really did it wit that outfit! Of course, My man Machel did his thing even though he wasn't in the competition. Congrats to Sherwayne...He deserved it!
