In my band the guys use korg karma motif and roland.....they all have their strengths I gues in boils down to personal prefrence. One of the keyboardist in my band is a roland guy all the way and the other guy will die for korg.

different keyboards
if you gte different equiptment.. your sound will be better.....instead of your music sounding like you used one keyboard, you will get a more life like sound that the different equiptment gives....when you look at some producers they have about four different keyboards....each one has a special tone and feel to it...me my self I use about three different sources for sound

LS you are absolutely right. The ability to generate your tones from different sourses is indeed an asset to any producer. For me though I like the Triton for synth etc for drums , load some tones into an MPC2000 and yah good tah go ...

a lot depends on the interface you like best with all the touchscreens i dont think you can go "wrong" with a triton, a motif or a kurzweil k 2600. i never played a phantom but the old rolands had classic sounds. i just think you can get deeper with the others (especially that kurzweil!)
