Is it true the band had officially been dismantled? as i hear that onyan and krukus have made 3 cylinder their primary band now. is this true?

this may very well be true; because, three cylinder was slated to perform at 'wadadli day' today.

From my understanding 3-cylinder usually have gigs regularly, maybe by carnival time they might string something together. I would find hard for the band to be broken up for good just like that.

Damn, the soca world really needs the phenominal-four back together, the music overall (meaning the genre itself, not the Flames bands at present per se) losing its essence, too much focus on crossing-over, fusing with other music, becoming more layered and not innovatively arranged.

The band usually have it regularly some place in Antigua . I would love to see it ... but all I can do is just see the pictures of them. .. that's too bad.

Chie, i don't understand, all i saying is the best situation would be for the original band to be back together...along with couple female singers of course.

I can see 3-cylinder band's pictures on the other. that is really great and I'm looking forward to seeing it.

but nice and enjoyable tunes haven't droped yet.. I have listened to nothing ..

I agree with all of them together their unstoppable nuff said. I wonder why they broke up in the 1st place?

I will guess to say couple things vaguely, money and commitment. Both sides have their own story. I will leave it there.

I don't know if that rumor is true or not, as I can honestly say I've only seen them perform as "Burning Flames" in NY once since antigua carnival 2007, and the other times they were billed as "3 Cylinder". Anyhow, I seriously doubt they would dismantle Burning Flames just so, after all the hard work that went into building that name recognition over the last 20+ years. I think they gig more as 3 Cylinder b/c the booking cost is as expensive as it is for "BF". Honestly, I prefer to hear them as 3 Cylinder simply b/c I find they play a broader scope of music in their sets.

I agree...they gig throughout the year as 3 Cylinder more but, when Antigua Carnival time roll around...is Onyan and The Burning Flames. LOL BFFAN, I could visit this site in 2020 and u will still be posting about the "phenomenal 4" needing to get back together....nice to see u lady lol!
