You wanna pick the songs or artists, go 'head. But asking which island is a useless debate.

That was predictable.
Here is a much better question. Not including your own island, which Island had the best Soca songs for the past 10 years? |

Now grenada in my eye's barely made the cut in my book and i love my jab jab tunes to death lord knows, but not as successfull in producing world hits. I rate st. vincent soca because they were able to create international hits with in the past ten years and still is making hits not necessarily international but big hits. So that leaves us we Trinidad and Bardados...now we all know that those two countries dominate the soca industry....up until Ricky T and Problem Child gave them a run for there money in 2007! 07 change the game |

I mean, from what I've heard (which may not be fair to other islands I didn't get exposed to back when), I'd say the islands that had the most quality hits over the last 10 years were St. Kitts, Barbados, Trinidad Popularity in soca fetes in Toronto, I'd say Trinidad, Barbados and Vincy Quantity is going to go to Trinidad and Barbados but look how big those islands are compared to places like St. Kitts, Antigua, etc.. All around (which is what I think the poster is trying to get at) for me would be Trini and/or Barbados. |

If we going from '98 on down, it's Barbados hands down.

Say you never heard them, because they did not get the airplay they deserved. I can name Tonik Band out of Antigua. |
