    Biography:

Dejour Alexander, born to Dwight and Jermaine Alexander just a short 19 years ago, grew up in the Village, but now resides in Carifesta Village St. Peters on the island of St. Kitts.

He enjoys singing, his grandmother said he cried a lot as a baby and its an old folks tale that children usually end up singing when they cry that much. They claim it strengthens their voices.

He is the youngest singer making noise out of SKN right now. The artist simply known as Dejour was born to be a singer! By the time he was 7 years old, he was showing great vocal ability.

He's been feeding on a mix of soul, R&B and hip-hop, soaking up the soulful voices of singers such as Otis Redding, Sam Cooke and the poet rhymes of Kendrick Lamar.

His diverse musical background has made him into a very rounded and talented artist. By primary school, he placed first in the school calypso competition. Although Dejour won every singing competition he entered, school came first. He maintained his grades, remaining at the top of his classes and in 2005, he made both the Principle and Honor Role lists.

In May of 2011 he entered the ZIZ 50th anniversary song competition and won. Shortly after that, he made his first music video which was one of the prizes from the competition. His music career then sky rocketed and landed him a spot on the prestigious St. Kitts Music Festival in 2013 he was the youngest solo artist to ever grace the stage at the event. He was again asked to perform at the festival in 2015 and 2016 respectively.

In September of 2016 Dejour was invited to be the featured guest artiste at the 33rd Annual Independence celebrations in New York. He was shortly after contracted to travel to Miami in October to perform for the highly anticipated Miami Carnival festivities.

After returning home, he ventured into the National Carnival Soca Monarch competition that was held on December 24th 2016 and was able to secure the First Runner Up position with his hit song "Don't Care".

Dejour has released many of our favorite songs such as "Take a ride" "Don't love me" "African Queen" "The One" "Ready" "Love Potion" " Don't Care" and " One Time". Dejour continues to flood the hearts of everyone within the sound of his voice with his melodies.

He is a firm believer that the "Sky is the Limit" which suggests that he is aiming for greatness.

Another nice groovy soca track but I believe this artist hails from Antigua. Nice that you are embracing him as a Yardie though.
