BBC NEWS | Technology | Judge bans Microsoft Word sales

In a separate injunction, the court prohibited Microsoft from "selling, offering to sell, and/or importing in or into the United States" any version of the software that can open custom XML files (with file extensions .xml, .docx, or .docm).

That has to be one of the most ridiculous patents I have ever seen in my life. There are so many things that could fall under that. I swear I should patent sitting down on the toilet to use the restroom so everyone can pay me.

NOTE: I am not making a case for M$...it's just that patents get on my nerves.
