NO SIGN YET OF CARNIVAL FUNDS
Carnival groups in Trinidad and Tobago are still waiting for their annual funding, with less than a month to go before the show Approximately TT$80 million (£8 million) has been approved by the Trinidad and Tobago government for the staging of Carnival 2007. Earl Nesbitt, permanent secretary in the ministry of community development, culture and gender affairs, said the funds were being disbursed to stakeholders.
