i know people are gonna hate me for this but...........GIVE ME A BREAK.
WHYTHESE BIG DESIGNERS MUST PUT CHILDREN IN THIS STUFF. THE KIDS MUST LOOK LIKE MINI MEES NOW?
WITH ONLY SHORTS DIVIDEING THE TWO GROUPS.

I agree with Neo kiddies mas should be about a childrens theme.
Adult mas is already naked now you want your chile wearing naked mas too. Leave it for the Adults nah.

I doubt that anyone is going to hate you for that statement. I agree with you 500%. Children's mas should be for CHILDREN. I don't believe in sticking little children in Bikinis. The designer from Rosalind Gabriel said that children like to wear the costumes that adults see as "too much cloth" why would these designers assume otherwise.

Thats' why I like the Rosalind Gabriel band and other children's mas bands that keep to this mandate (real mas suited for kids). Even though there is a prevalence of F+B=M (this formula writing should be patented to CC on IMIX) among adults the children's mas in Trinidad Carnival remains real mas for children and it is very popular. The ones stateside should take heed when designing thier costumes for children. I sure doh want to see my 5 year old nephew dressing like a Legends "Strong Man"

Wow this is really horrible that the designer will actually make children costumes to look like adults. A designer can be so creative and have so much fun with designing carnival costumes for children and teens. Don't they have a carnival board in Miami that actually look at some of these costumes and hold carnival designers accountable at times

Amprincess...to answer your question, these costumes are from J&L Vibes out of Orlando...these are their costumes for Miami Carnival...
